Char Davis......this is my journey Char Davis Artist

Char enjoys being spontaneous and creative with local color, imagined color; and when she wants to quiet her mind, she enjoys painting more in the colors of tonalism. A very versatile artist, she enjoys oil, watercolor and occasionally acrylic.   Painting stimulates the mind and senses and she is constantly striving for a feeling of impressionism; finding this style of art emotionally and visually satisfying. 

She loves to paint the many journeys of her world; whether it is an architectural feature that catches her eye, flowers in her country garden, or the never ending variety of the outdoor landscape.  Her style is a mix of realism and looseness; having things suggested rather than the telling of the whole story to the viewer.  One of her favorite teachers calls this "impressionistic realism".

Her education is primarily in architecture, drawing and drafting,  and she has been working full-time in the field of architectural rendering since 2001. She is primarily  a self-taught painter,  although many local and national  artists and mentors have helped her direction.  She currently lives in Elizabeth, Colorado.
